From September 18th to 22nd during a 5 days study tour, General Counsel visited amongst others Google, MicroSoft, Oracle OpenWorld, UC Hastings Law School’s International GC Symposium, RocketLawyer, Stanford Law School – Codex, LegalZoom, Globality and the Dutch Consulate in San Francisco.
The GC participants of the study tour are all enrolled in the General Counsel Executive Programme at RSM/Erasmus University.
The GC learned about topics like The Internet of Things and Digital transformation; how innovation and digitalisation will influence their companies and how technology can transform business models and last but not least, how to operate as a GC in a technology-mediated environment.
We met top experts who informed us about a variety of topics, ranging from drone law to patent trolling law, and visited with alternative legal service providers like LegalZoom and RocketLawyer.
An exclusive interview with the participants of the study tour about their experiences and knowledge gained will be published in the General Counsel NL Magazine 2016-2017.
