Target group

GCN is exclusively for those who hold the position of ultimate responsible in-house lawyer in a medium-sized or large company in the Netherlands. This refers to those who report on the company’s legal risks to senior management and/or are part of it.

Although most General Counsel operate more and more as Legal Managers than as legal experts, the size of the legal department is not relevant for joining GCN. Of course, your nationality is not important; for foreign residents, we facilitate almost everything in English.

What does participation entail

As a GCN member you can participate in all GCN activities free of charge, including three large national meetings and at least two local GCN peer-to-peer group meetings each year. The best way to easily meet many peers and get useful tips. All activities are announced well in advance and then you can easily sign up as soon as more details are available.

The current annual contribution is €995, excluding VAT (2026). If you register in the months of July, August, September, or October, the contribution for the remainder of the calendar year currently amounts to €495, excluding VAT (year 2026). If you register in the month of November or December, participation is free for the rest of the calendar year, provided the membership is continued in the following calendar year.

During the calendar year you are entitled to, among other things:

Participation GCN Peergroups in June

Receiving the General Counsel NL Magazine at the end of the year

I would like to join GCN and agree to pay EUR 995.- excl. VAT (all-in membership fee 2026). I agree to pay this amount for the current calendar year if I join in January, February, March, April, May or June of the year. If I join in July, August, September or October, I will pay a fee of EUR 495.- excl. VAT (year 2026) for the current calendar year. If I join in November or December, I will have free membership for the rest of the calendar year, provided I continue my membership the following year. I have taken note of and accept the applicability of the Regulations for Participation in General Counsel Netherlands.

I understand that participation in GCN is from 1 January to 31 December of a calendar year and accept that this is always automatically renewed for another calendar year unless valid cancellation has taken place or alternative written agreements have been made. I understand and accept that I may cancel my participation by cancelling my membership at info@generalcounsel.nl by 31 October of a current calendar year. In the absence of a valid cancellation, I will be obliged to pay the annual fee for the following calendar year.
