Petra van Hilst, one of the founders of General Counsel Netherlands (GCN), will leave the organisation from 1 July next. Michiel van Straaten, GCN’s other founder, will continue as Community Chair from that date. Assisted, of course, by the other team members.
Petra: “After more than 10 years of GCN, it is time for new challenges and highlights. I am proud of the wonderful GCN community we have created. I am convinced that there will be many more highlights to come, but for me this is an appropriate time to say goodbye. I am confident that GCN, with Michiel and the rest of the team, will organise many more instructive and inspiring meetings in the future. A successful community is created together. So, I want to thank everyone for all the contributions to the success of GCN, the General Counsel Executive Program and the EQUAL in LEGAL initiative!”
Michiel: “I would like to thank Petra for the inspiring collaboration over the past years. I think, together we have succeeded well in bringing the role of the General Counsel out of anonymity and providing GCs with a modern platform to share knowledge and make acquaintances. I wish her every success and pleasure in her future plans and I look forward to further developing GCN, the General Counsel Executive Program and EQUAL in LEGAL together with the rest of the team.”
